Description Human chondrocytes are derived from cartilage by enzymatic dissociation. These cells are
powerful tools for investigating molecular mechanisms underlying chondrocyte development,
growth and differentiation—including studying the effect of cytokines on the formation of new
cartilage. Human chondrocytes may be used for various types of in vitro, in vivo, regenerative
medicine studies in normal or diseased systems.
The original tissue is isolated from a normal donor, except as otherwise specified.

Test Conditions Cells are grown and passed to determine sterility and mycoplasma for all lots. In addition, viability is determined prior to and after freezing. All cells are confirmed to be highly pure by molecular, cellular, or protein assays with their specific markers.

Handling Instructions Frozen cells are shipped on dry ice. Upon arrival, place into -196°C (LN2) for long term storage or subculture immediately.
