ONCOREF™ FFPE Cell Slides
Derived from our ONCOREF™ FFPE Cell Blocks, our ONCOREF™ FFPE Cell Slides are 5 µm sections adhered onto glass slides for use as quality control material in a clinical laboratory workflow.
Our ONCOREFtm FFPE Mutation Cell Slides are used as controls in immunohistochemistry (IHC) and in situ hybridization (ISH) applications. Biological molecules, including protein and nucleic acid (DNA and RNA) targets are preserved for IHC and ISH analysis. Our ONCOREFtm FFPE Mutation Cell Slides provides a reliable source of biologically-relevant specimens for assay development, optimization, and QC. Formalin fixation is commonly used for the preservation of biological specimens. While this process allows for the long-term storage of biological samples, it can lower the yields of extracted DNA, and cause chemical changes in nucleic acid structure – both of which can adversely affect downstream characterization. Our FFPE mutation cell reference standards allows you to optimize your sample processing protocols for formalin-fixed specimens, without using your precious clinical samples. A minimum of 4 FFPE Cell scrolls must be ordered per mutation.
- Fixation conditions: 10% formaldehyde/1xPBS for 24 hours at 24-26°C
