ONCOREF™ Frozen Cell Pellet
Derived from our CRISPR-engineered isogenic cell lines, our ONCOREF™ Frozen Cell Pellets are biologically-relevant reference material that can be used to test formalin-fixation's effect on nucleic acid integrety in the presence of celluar matrix or comparisons with FFPE Cell Blocks. This product can also be used by researchers who need a large quantity of gDNA (> 5ug) and do not mind extracting the gDNA directly from the pellet at a relatively low cost.
Derived from our engineered isogenic cell line, the ONCOREF™ Frozen Cell Pellet is a biologically-relevant reference material that can be used to test formalin-fixation's effect on nucleic acid integrety in the presence of cellular matrix. Each frozen cell pellet contained approximately 1 x 106 human cancer cells. Each cell contains approximately 6.6 pg of total nucleic acids (e.g. DNA, RNA) and represents two genome copies (diploid). In addition, our genetically-engineered mutation are expressed on both alleles (i.e. homozygous mutation). Our ONCOREF™ Frozen Cell Pellet provides a great value if needing a large quantity of crude nucleic acids. Typical extraction kits (e.g. Qiagen or ThermoFisher) can be used to purify the nucleic acids for molecular assay development. We typically extract up to 4.0 µg of gDNA from our ONCOREF™ Frozen Cell Pellet.
