Description: Fibroblasts are derived from cultured skin explants of a single donor. These cells enable researchers to study skin diseases such as dermatitis, wound healing, and other diseases that are expressed in fibroblast. In addition, they may be used to study the development of skin and production of inducible pluripotent stem cells.

These cells are isolated from a patient diagnosed with Parkinson's disease (PD), a neurodegenerative disorder of the brain that often impairs the sufferer's motor skills, speech, and other functions.

Origin: Human origin, single donor

Development Period: Postnatal

Quality Control: All cell processing is validated under strict protocols with IRB approval. All cells are guaranteed to meet or exceed customer’s expectations when handled according to instructions.

Test Conditions: Cells are grown and passed to determine sterility and mycoplasma for all lots. In addition, viability is determined prior to and after freezing. All cells are confirmed to be highly pure by molecular, cellular, or protein assays with their specific markers.

Handling Instructions: Cells are shipped on dry ice. Upon arrival, place into -196°C (LN2) for long term storage or subculture immediately.
