Product Information
Description The HUVEC are isolated from the vein of the umbilical cord of a single donor. They are characterized by acetylated low density lipoprotein (Dil-Ac-LDL) fluorescent staining and immunofluorescent staining with antibodies to vWF/Factor VIII and CD31 (PECAM). HUVEC are used in experimental applications such as cardiovascular pharmaceutical development, macromolecule transport, angiogenesis and vascularization studies.

Quality Control All cell processing is validated under strict protocols with IRB approval. All cells are guaranteed to meet or exceed customer’s expectations when handled according to instructions.

Cell quality is determined visually after analyzing Gram and Acid Fast stainings. Cells are grown and passed to determine sterility and mycoplasma for all lots.  In addition, viability is determined prior to and after freezing. All cells are confirmed to be highly pure by molecular, cellular, or protein assays with their specific markers.
