ASC offers new product options for TARGATT™ “attP” Mice | ASC

Milpitas, CA – May 15th, 2020: Applied StemCell, Inc. (ASC) announces that as of May 30, 2020, new product options will be available for its proprietary TARGATT™ “attP” (H11) mice. These mice will be available as:

  • Live animals in breeding pairs
  • Live animals; male (3 – 6 months old)
  • Cryopreserved embryos

These mice/ embryos will be shipped worldwide from ASC’s newly expanded AAALAC-accredited and OLAW-assured facility in the US. ASC will continue to offer related TARGATT™ products (the TARGATT™ Plasmids, TARGATT™ Transgenic Kits and TARGATT™ Genotyping Kits) that are required for use with the TARGATT™ “attP” mice.

The TARGATT™ “attP” mice, and the TARGATT™ plasmid and transgenic kits are used for the generation of site-specific transgenic mice. These “attP” mice have been genetically engineered with a TARGATT™ integrase-recognition docking site in the well-defined, transcriptionally active, mHipp11 (H11) safe harbor locus, in the popular C57BL/6J genetic background. ASC’s TARGATT™ technology leverages the site-specificity of the serine integrase PhiC31 (fC31) to enable stable transgene (up to 22 kb) integration into a preselected locus, with very high efficiency and high-level expression of your transgene.

We also provide custom TARGATT™ Site-specific Knock-in Mouse Model Generation Service to knock-in a gene of interest into two well-defined safe harbor loci, H11 and Rosa26, for researchers who would prefer our expertise in genetically engineering TARGATT™ transgenic knock-in mouse models.
