Product Information
Description
Human bone marrow mononuclear cells are isolated from whole bone marrow of a single donor. This heterogeneous cell population allows researchers to isolate various cell types of the immune system. Human bone marrow mononuclear cells contain CD34+ stem cells. Human bone marrow mononuclear cells enable researchers to investigate the immune system, stem cells, and regenerative medicine. In addition, they may be used for developmental studies.
Diabetes mellitus type 2 (DT2) is a disorder characterized by high blood glucose that occurs because cells do not respond appropriately when insulin is present (insulin resistance). Studies have shown that there is a strong inheritable genetic connection. Having family members with DT2 increases the risk for developing it. Severe complications can result from improperly managed DT2, including renal failure, erectile dysfunction, blindness, and coronary artery disease.
Origin Human
Development Period Postnatal

Quality Control All cell processing is validated under strict protocols with IRB approval. All cells are guaranteed to meet or exceed customer’s expectations when handled according to instructions.
Passage number: Frozen cells (P0)
Viability: >50%
Cryopreservation solution: 10% DMSO in fetal bovine serum

Test Conditions Cell quality is determined visually after analyzing Gram and Acid Fast stainings. Cells are grown and passed to determine sterility and mycoplasma for all lots.  In addition, viability is determined prior to and after freezing. All cells are confirmed to be highly pure by molecular, cellular, or protein assays with their specific markers.
