Applied StemCell (ASC) now offers human hematologic tissue products, including human healthy whole/peripheral blood and cord blood samples. Plasma, Leukopak, and Off-the-clot serum products are available. ASC offers on-site procurement and processing. Our samples are collected from IRB-approved donors who have tested negative for Syphilis, Hepatitis B (HBV), Hepatitis C (HCV), HTLV-I/II, HIV-1, and HIV-2. Whole/Peripheral and Cord Blood

Whole/Peripheral and Cord Blood samples are extracted from healthy donors. Whole/Peripheral and Cord Blood contain red blood cells, white blood cells, platelets, and plasma. They are also rich in hematopoietic stem cells (HSCs).

Leukopak

Leukapheresis allows for the separation of white blood cells (leukocytes) from peripheral blood. Leukpaks are apheresis-derived products that mostly contain white blood cells. They hold high levels of stem cells. progenitor cells, mononuclear cells, B cells, and T cells. Smaller quantities of other cell subsets are also present. Samples are collected in bags that hold the anticoagulant acid-citrate-dextrose formula A (ACDA).

Some leukopak products are only available in select territories. We ask that you place your order a week in advance. In that time, we can recruit the appropriate donor, draw blood, and deliver the product in 12-24 hours from the time of sample collection.

Off-the-Clot Serum

Off-the-clot serum is procured from whole blood. The whole blood is collected in the absence of an anticoagulant which allows coagulation to occur. The fibrin clot is removed, and we deliver only the serum you need. If you have specific project requests, please contact us prior to placing your order.
