Applied StemCell, Inc.’s Autobioluminescent HCT116 cell line is a substrate-independent synthetic luciferase system that encodes all of the components required for bioluminescent signal initiation and maintenance. This tumor forming line can be grown either two dimensionally or three dimensionally to fit a wide variety of assays and experimental designs, including in vivo applications requiring monitoring of tumor growth in small animal models. This is an ideal cell line for preclinical drug screening and discovery.
