iPSC Derived Beta Cell Differentiation Service

iPSC derived beta cells refer to beta cells that have been generated from induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs). iPSCs are a type of stem cell that can be generated from adult cells, such as skin cells, by reprogramming them to return to a pluripotent state. Pluripotent stem cells are able to differentiate into various cell types, including beta cells. Beta cells are a type of cell in the pancreas that produce insulin, which is necessary for regulating blood glucose levels. Defects in beta cell function can lead to diabetes.

By generating beta cells from iPSCs, researchers can create a source of beta cells that can be used for various applications, such as studying the development and function of beta cells compaerd with Patient-derived diabetic iPSC-β cells, testing drugs for diabetes treatment, and potentially even replacing damaged or dysfunctional beta cells in patients with diabetes.
